Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2, 2026

Migrena ("the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

1. Data Stored on Your Device

The app stores the following data locally on your device:

Your migraine diary and imported health observations are stored locally using Apple's SwiftData framework and are protected by iOS device-level security. Migrena does not operate an account server or cloud database for your diary.

2. Analysis and On-Device Processing

Migrena calculates diary summaries, comparisons, and possible recurring contexts from your own recorded data. These results describe the records available in the app; they are not predictions, diagnoses, or proof that a factor caused an attack. The current release uses deterministic, evidence-bound analysis for user-facing insights. If an eligible release uses Apple Foundation Models to help phrase an insight, that processing occurs on your device, is quality-gated against the underlying records, and falls back to deterministic wording when it cannot be verified. Migraine, health, and personal data is not sent to a cloud AI service.

3. Analytics

Migrena does not include a third-party product analytics SDK and does not send screen views, feature usage, migraine logs, health readings, or notes to an analytics provider.

4. HealthKit Data

If you grant permission, Migrena reads the HealthKit types listed in section 1. Apple does not reveal whether read access to an individual HealthKit type was denied, so Migrena reports whether access was requested and whether readable data is available rather than claiming a private read decision it cannot know. HealthKit data is:

5. Location Data

Migrena requests location access solely to retrieve weather conditions from Apple WeatherKit. Your coordinates are not stored in your migraine diary or sent to a Migrena server. Apple receives the location needed to provide its weather service under Apple's terms.

6. Third-Party Services

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or use your health or migraine data for advertising. Data leaves your device only for these limited operations:

8. Children's Privacy

Migrena is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Data Deletion

You can delete the locally stored migraine diary, profile, preferences, generated insight cache, generated report files, and pending app notifications from Settings. Deleting the app also removes its locally stored data. This action does not cancel an App Store subscription or erase purchase records retained by Apple or RevenueCat for transaction, entitlement, fraud-prevention, tax, or legal purposes. Subscriptions can be managed in your Apple ID account settings.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the app and on this page.
